I am not an alumni but my husband and daughter are alumni. SO, that makes me part of the Coug family.! I graduated from the University of Idaho, class of 1979.
Favorite memory - game day, spending football weekends in the RV for 25 years! Go Cougs!

There are many memories, as it is likely the case for most Cougs.

Number one was meeting Beckie who I married after graduation.

Next was education. Not facts and figures, but critical thinking and knowledge of how to research a topic or issue. I drew on those lessons thoughout my career.

    Other memories were:
-Driving to Spokane to watch WSU football in Joe Albi Stadium after the WSU stadium fire.
-Seeing Marv Harshman walk into Bohler Gym in disguise for the WSU/UW basketball game after he left WSU to become the UW basketball coach.
-Watching Kareen Abdul-Jabbar (then Lew Alcindor), Bill Walton, Steve Pudakis, and other greats play basketball in Bohler Gym and the coliseum.
-Listening to Vincent Price speak about the history of villians as part of a guest lecturer series.
-Going to Ferdinands, when it was in Troy Hall, for after class ice cream cones.
-Going to Moscow for a beer, when the drinking age there was 19.
-Being stopped by the State Patrol while driving back to Pullman after having a beer in Moscow (no, I wasn't cited for DUI).

I have many many more great memories of WSU and my time there.

    Go Cougs!

My favorite Coug memory is when College Gameday finally brought the flag back home. I can still remember when Kirk Herbstreit announced it on social media. My phone blew up from all my friends and family! We spent most of the latter part of the week in Pullman, enjoying all the festivities. Going to bed Friday night will not be easy because of the excitement for Saturday morning! One of the best lines ever, when Reese Davis came out just before the show and said "I only have two words for you....Holy !@#$" He was shocked at the turnout! What a beautiful atmosphere it was. Then we go on to beat Oregon! One of the best weekends of my life! Go Cougs!
